A Harley & Harp Wedding in a French Country Setting
Our love story: “We were in grammar school together - 3rd grade class photo shows Joey sitting on the floor and I sit right behind him. We started dating in 1983 as Juniors in High School. Joey drove a 1969-orange camaro. We drove everywhere in that car. As a result of a later accident, the car was parked in his Dad’s garage. He gave me a paint chip from the car and I sealed it in an envelope with note: “a piece of Joey’s orange camaro”. It was sold and replaced with the “Bounty Hunter” (a jacked up 1977-Chevrolet Truck). We went “mudslinging” every weekend. We had fabulous times together and created many great memories. After graduation of 1984, we just went our separate ways to start our careers. At graduation, we received little keepsake chests and in mine, I had many things I cherished from our time together. Amongst a few treasures, I have a denim pocket that Joey gave me from his jeans he had ripped off. He wrote: “Joey Loves Sharon” with hearts on it. Joey and I endured many rough situations in the next 34 years. Social media allowed Joey to contact me in September 2017. We set up a meeting on my birthday: 15 September 2017. It was love at first sight all over again. The best birthday I ever had. I felt like a teenager again. We spent every possible moment together since then. I shared with Joey about my keepsake chest and all our kept memories. He was so surprised at me keeping his gifts for all these years. Together, we made a shadow box and displayed it at our wedding day on 16 November 2019 when we got married at beautiful ADELAIDE EVENTS VENUE (Spartanburg, SC wedding venues area) where Harry & Stephné helped us to host our Harley & Harp Wedding created in a French Country setting. We spent our honeymoon at Chimney Rock, NC. We now enjoy exploring nature on our Harleys. The orange Camaro is still parked in a barn nearby!”
